Roger: ”The barber does all the job”

På gårdagens vernissage träffade jag dagens skägg, professor Roger Salters från Denver, Colorado.

– I’ve always had a beard, since I was 18 years old. A moustache. The beard came about two years ago. I just didn’t have anything else to do. My wife tells me that it looks OK, so I keep it.

So she’s the judge who decides whether it stays or not?
– She decides whether it’s this type or whether it’s a full beard or not. I’ve had a full beard and she prefers this instead of the full.

What do you prefer?
– Well… the full. Less shaving.

So you agreed on this as a compromise?
– Yeah, it’s a compromise and I’m pleased with it. As long as I keep it trimmed she’s happy with it.

Do you have any tips on how to groom your beard?
– No, I just go to the local barbershop and I say ”make it look good” and that’s it. The barber actually does all the job to determine how it looks.
